Article Abstract:

Patients with bacterial infections of the sinuses do not need antibiotic treatment unless their symptoms persist for longer than seven days. X-rays of the sinuses are also not recommended.

Article Abstract:

Adults who have bronchitis should not be treated with antibiotics, since most cases are caused by viruses. The only exception is those who are found to have pneumonia.
