Article Abstract:
Smoking in Third World countries is not merely a health problem but a social and economic problem as well. Seventy-three percent of land being cultivated for tobacco are in Third World countries, while illiteracy undermines the effectiveness of anti-smoking campaigns.

Ultrasound imaging is very useful in the diagnosis of many diseases. However, about two-thirds of the world's population do not have access to ultrasound diagnostic services because the equipment is very expensive.
