A brief description on the myth of the age-related weight increase and the facts behind them are presented. The worldwide standard determines that body mass index (BMI) between 19 and 25 is healthy, BMI between 25 to 30 is overweight, and BMI over 30 is obese.

The myth that exercise is the only way to lose weight is exploded. Getting more active does help in burning calories but only a simultaneous cutting down on food intake will help get those unwanted pounds off.
