Stimulation of technology-based small firms - a case study of university-industry cooperation
Article Abstract:
The formation of interaction programs between the university and business firms will enhance the transfer of technology to the industry. A survey was made on the effect on university-industry programs in Sweden's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The programs are based on the development of specific factors that will enhance the marketing of new technologies and products. The activities provide solutions for problems encountered in new business ventures, development of management expertise and social clubs for businessmen.

Instruments for patent data analyses in business firms
Article Abstract:
Patent data analysis may be used for technology competition analysis, patent portfolio management and determination of inventor relations. Techniques for such analysis are presented along with the formulas used. The techniques vary ranging from dividing patents by technological field to constructing a patent portfolio which is a two dimensional representation of patents. Importance weighing involves analyzing various characteristics of patents to determine their importance.

Managers in the strategic management consulting (SMC) and fast moving consumer goods(FMCG) industries associate tasks with manufacturing mix objectives. Manufacturing objectives pertains to the set of decisions and tasks which are needed to accomplish the company's objectives. Previous research clearly show the significant relationship between manufacturing objectives and business strategies which affect the overall business performance.
