Telecommunication rates and territorial aggregations
Article Abstract:
A hierarchical spatial interaction model was developed to assess telecommunications flows while maintaining existing linkages between the flows. The model is applied to study the effects of rates on the diffusion of telecommunication technologies in twelve Italian provinces. The results reveal that the pole of Milano aggregates the northern region of the country while a restricted portion of central Italy is aggregated by Firenze, Genova, and Pisa when the rates are affected by a specified income for the communications vendor.

Eastern Europe and the world in the light of forecasting scientific and technological activity
Article Abstract:
Socio-technical functioning in Eastern Europe has fallen into regression. However, a new socio-technical activity, strategic self-development, is simultaneously gaining importance. The change in the role of leading countries in technological innovations encourage Eastern European innovative entrepreneurs to mobilize their abilities to create. This would prove that their ability for enterprise is equal to that of industrially developed countries. Forecasting trends would result in this strategic mobilization.

The diffusion and spatial distribution of new telcommuncation technologies in the Italian region of Campania
Article Abstract:
The link between socioeconomic environment and mobility as well as the pervasiveness of technological innovations makes the analysis of telecommunication technology a necessity for forecasting analysis. A spatial perspective to the current theory and practice is derived from a study of the tellecommunication market in the Campania region in Italy. Results show that decentralization has not been put into practice and that telematic factor levels are far below that of developed Milan and Rome.
