Candace Bushnell
Article Abstract:
Candace Bushnell is a writer best known for her first book 'Sex and the City', which was a collection of her columns on dating and sex in New York which originally ran in the New York Observer and then inspired a television series as well. She is criticized for focusing almost exclusively on a very small set of wealthy and glamorous New Yorkers, women willing to do anything for material success, but she argues that the characters in her book are based on real people she has known over the years.
