Daniel Boulud, the owner of Cafe Boulud on New York City's tony Upper East Side, is a chef and has published several cookbooks. He co-owns the catering division called Feast & Fetes and regularly conducts lectures at cooking schools and universities, which include Culinary Institute of America and the French Culinary Institute.

Shelepin, Aleksandr Nikolaevich

Soviet official Aleksandr N. Shelepin died on Oct. 24, 1994. He assumed chairmanship of the KGB in 1958, subsequently ridding the agency of its reputation for acts of terrorism. He served in the Politburo from 1964 to 1975.
