Eric Alterman
Article Abstract:
Journalist and historian Eric Alterman is often targeted by conservatives for the politically charged books he writes, questioning the existence of the so-called liberal media bias as well as for his condemnation of George W. Bush's presidency. The openly liberal media critic first drew attention in 1992 with his book "Sound and Fury", which criticized the attention and authority given to right-wing pundits by the media and the public.

Nicholas D. Kristof, Journalist and columnist for The New York Times
Article Abstract:
Nicholas D. Kristof, a journalist and columnist with a leading American newspaper, is sometimes criticized by the Left for being too conservative and by the right for being too liberal. However, that seeming contradiction is best explained if Kristof is viewed as a pragmatist, one who urges governments and individuals to follow the best possible course rather than dream of the ideal.
