Gaultier is considered as the enfant terrible of the Paris fashion industry because he designs his clothing based on what he calls as 'trash.' This includes garbage and television. During a waning career in the 1990s, he based his designs on traditional dresses of Hasidic Jews and Eskimos.

Roth, Ann

Ann Roth is costume designer known for her works in motion pictures such as 'Working Girl,' 'Silkwood' and 'The English Patient.' Roth was born in Philadelphia, PA. in 1932 and studied in Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg, CA. She was also trained by Irene Sharaff in the mid-1950's.
