Immunotherapy of human immunodeficiency virus infection
Article Abstract:
The application of immunotherapy using different drug combinations provided possible treatment for AIDS. The thymomimetic agents, isoprinosine and diethyldithiocarbamate, were found to minimize the effects of the disease. Similarly, thymopentin and ImReg-1 thymomimetic biologicals could be utilized in combination with antiviral therapy to suppress the progress of AIDS. In addition, the occurrence of Kaposi's sarcoma could be successfully treated with interferon alpha and zidovudine.

T.J.'s triumph
Article Abstract:
T.J. Voltz became affected with Landau-Kleffner syndrome before the age of two. The disorder is characterized by the brain's failure to understand language and produce speech. T.J. underwent steriod therapy which greatly improved his condition.
