Kathy Reichs, Forensic anthropologist and novelist
Article Abstract:
The forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs was asked by the representatives from the Catholic archdiocese of Quebec to confirm to remains interred in Jeanne Le Ber (1662-1714), know as 'Montreal's Joan of Arc', supposed grave actually belonging to the would-be saint when she was recommended for sainthood, in 1991. Reichs penned her first novel, Deja Dead, which won an award from the Crime Writers of Canada and became a New York Times best-seller that feature the character Dr. Temperance Brennan, whose life and career resemble the author's in important ways.
