The Prada name is virtually synonymous with high fashion and understated elegance in certain circles, due in large part to the creative direction of Miuccia Prada. Under Miuccia's leadership, the small leather-goods company founded in 1913 by her grandfather blossomed into an international conglomerate, boasting more than 200 stores around the globe by 2006 and earning billions of dollars each year from sales of its accessories and clothing lines.

Gruber Samuel H., shark expert

Samuel Gruber, a professor at the university of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science and Division of marine Biology and Fisheries, specializes in the study of lemon sharks, a species named for the trademark yellow coloring of its belly. His concern led him to establish the Shark Specialist Group as a branch of the preexisting World Conservation Union.
