Wei Jingsheng

Wei Jingsheng was born in Beijing, China on May 20, 1950 and grew up in a household with the strong influence of the Communist Party and Mao Zedong. Wei was arrested in March 1979 after stating in his work, entitled "Do We Want Democracy or New Autocracy?" that Deng Xiaoping would become a dictator.
