Zork Nemesis
Article Abstract:
Activision's 1994 Return to Zork was a groundbreaking game that turned the popular Infocom Zork text-based adventure into the kind of game modern players expect, with graphics, full-motion video and a new interface. The sequel, Zork Nemesis, returns to the gothic themes of the original Zork and is often violent and grisly. There are disturbing memories and hallucinogenic flashbacks that serve as clues in the central mystery, where users must liberate alchemical spirits enslaved by the Nemesis. Zork 3D has breathtaking art and animation, and a guided tour with screen shots of many game segments is presented. The game is entirely non-linear; players can enter and leave each of the four 'worlds' at any time.
