The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is one of the most universally recognized airplanes for its sleek lines, aggressive stance and variable sweep-wing geometry, which inspired modelers since it entered the service. But the Tomcat's complex design features made it one of the most difficult RC airplanes to build and Steve Shumate realized the possibility of developing simple F-14 using foam and similar building techniques which created a impressive new Tomcat airplane.
