Teleconverters enable photographers to extend the focal length of their lenses without changing minimum focusing distance. They are attached between the lens and the camera body. The drawbacks are lost of speed, brightness and image quality.

Eisenstaedt's eye: careful precision rather than motorized mayhem marked his picture taking

Eisenstaedt, who died in Aug 1995, photographed many famous people and produced 86 covers for Life magazine. His techniques included using simple equipment and a tripod, shooting photographs sparingly, and praising others for their work.

ISO 800 and 1000 print films for general SLR use? Has Keppler gone utterly mad?

An ISO speed film of 400 can be used for general purposes. ISO 400 can be adequate for print sizes up to 11x14 and 14x17 inches. ISO 100 should be used for bright days while ISO 1000 should be carried in case of low light situations.
