Comic strip classics kick off stamp collecting month

The commemorative postage stamps honoring some of America's best beloved comic strip characters were issued on Oct 1, 1995 at Boca Raton, Fla on the site of the International Museum of Cartoon Art. Mort Walker creator of 'Beetle Bailey' was a guest. The issue of 20 stamps, honors 20 strips.
