Comparing stamps with other popular collectibles

Postage stamps, coins and sports cards, the three most popular collectibles, are compared point by point. Coins are durable and can be ancient; sports cards value is dependent on the person depicted, not only their rarity; and stamps, unlike the other two, often depict things other than people.

United Nations stamps have great topical appeal
Article Abstract:
The UN Postal Authority is the only non-nation allowed to issue stamps which are honored by all nations. Artists including celebrities are honored to create designs for the stamps. These stamps are popular with stamp collectors because of the varied topics depicted. They are plentiful.
