Sigma 1.4X and 2X APO teleconverters: how is optical quality when you boost the 70-200mm f/2.8 Sigma to 98-280mm f/4 or 140-400mm f/5.6?

The Signma 1.4X and 2X teleconverters are designed to work with the new 70-200 f/2.8 lens. There is no loss of autofocus use or but some speed loss with the 2X, depending upon the amount of light. Test results show the 1.4X to be average, the 2X below average. Prices are $286 and $324 respectively.
