Evans VP-1 Volksplane: The people's homebuilt!

Bill Evans produced a design for a homebuilt aircraft, the VP-1, based on simple wood construction and the use of a Volkswagen engine in the mid-1960s and it retains its popularity because of it uncomplicated structure and excellent flight characteristics. The VP-1 is a very good candidate for a scale model airplane and it would make an excellent choice for a first micro-scale model.
