First Reno Unlimited T-6 giant scale races

The giant-scale Unlimited and T-6 class races held at Reno,, NV, during the full-scale air races drew strong competition despite restrictive rules. The weather limited flying time and forced cancellation of the trophy races. Two engines and two kits debuted.

Battle of the giants: blistering speeds break all-time records at Madera
Article Abstract:
Giant-scale model airplanes competed in the Madera '94 racing tournament. Don Albright's Lancair IV from the Braun team won the gold in the Unlimited class, while RacePro and Cosmic Wind won the golds in the AT-6 and Formula One categories.

Competitors in the Unlimited Race at Madera race giant scale planes. Some problems occurred with radio controls in the high traffic environment but otherwise the 1992 race went well. In large-scale planes the propeller is very important.
