Professor John Vincent Kane Jr. accidentally stumbled upon a method for converting his 50mm f/1.7 Pentax AF lens into an 80mm by using an Arkon 1.6X attachment that is designed for video cameras. His pictures came out sharp and he was even able to reverse the lens and create a wide-angle view.

Amusing lenses from Nikon?
Article Abstract:
Nikon has introduced 3 less expensive lenses that come with silly decals for decoration. The lenses are made from sturdy metal and offer good quality detail. Nikon hopes that consumers that do not usually buy additional lenses for their camera will consider this new line.
