Four different Sigma macro lenses? Are the designers crazy?
Article Abstract:
Sigma offers four different macro lenses with both autofocus and manual mounts. They are the 50mm f/2.8, 90mm f/2.8, 180mm f/5.6 and 180mm f/2.8. The choice of focal lengths is an option to working with the inferior quality of most macro zoom lenses. The advantages and disadvantages of these lenses are examined.

Article Abstract:
The new Tamron 28-200m f/3.8-5.6 LD (IF) AF zoom lens reduces the minimum close-focus distances possible on previous models. The standard 8-ft focusing limit at 28mm is down to 37.375 in, 200mm close focusing is reduced to 31.5 in, and 135mm provides 20.5-in close-ups.
