British remote control hobbyist Gordon Rae's 1951 twin-cylinder-powered Ranger model airplane is a product of superb engineering and craftsmanship. The plane features a magnetic actuator which was rarely seen in model airplanes during the 1950s.

The 'Good' ole days
Article Abstract:
Drs. Walter and William Good were well known R/C model airplane pioneers in the hobby's early years. The brothers developed 'Big Guff', a radio controlled flyers which established the radio transmitter control standards for the hobby.
