Hanciau was a pioneer philatelist from Brussels
Article Abstract:
Hanciau was the pseudonym for a man born in Belgium in 1835 who eventually became a major stamp collector and officer in the House of Moens which itself became a major stamp dealer firm. Hanciau's life and contributions to philately is presented. He died at the age of 90 in 1925.

Ludwig Schwartz was a famous Austrian dealer
Article Abstract:
Schwartz born in 1843, did not become a serious collector until 1879 when he became interested in his son's collection. He amassed a valuable collection and became active in Austrian philatelist circles. Schwartz' philatelic activities up until his death in 1912, are described.
