The use of the ring as a matrimonial symbol dates back to biblical times. One of the earliest accounts of marriage proposals involving rings can be found in Genesis 21, verses 22-23. The giving and receiving of matrimonial rings have been part of human history since then.

Paragon of paradox

Article Abstract:

Gem carver Phil Rothengatter of Catalina, AZ, is partial to opals, fire agates and blue chalcedony. One of his most spectacular works is a Mintabe black opal splashed with bright blue, orange, red and green carved as a human skull with ravens on its sides.

Martian of error?

Article Abstract:

The discovery of fossils in a Martian meteorite has lead majority to believe that there is probably life on Mars. During isotopic studies, the meteorites were found to contain carbonates which are called globules by the scientists.
