Nicaraguan sheetlet highlights Central American butterflies

Article Abstract:

At the end of 1995, Nicaragua issued a miniature sheet and a souvenir sheet of butterfly-theme stamps. Also issued were stamps featuring a lion and lamb scene from the 11th chapter of Isaiah, and a scene representing Noah's Ark. The Nobel stamp issue is 21 sheetlets and three souvenir sheets.

New Dominica sheetlet of 12 depicts birds in their natural setting

Article Abstract:

Dominica, which is in the West Indies, issued a series of 12 stamps with images of rain forest birds in April 1995. The stamps form a whole picture when connected, yet feature separate birds when separated. The stamps' value is 65 cents. Various birds depicted are described.

Palau sheetlet honors submersible vessels

Article Abstract:

Artist and scuba diver Lloyd Birmingham designed a set of 18 32-cent stamps for Palau that depicts submersible vessels. Scuba equipment, the USS Nautilus, the Deep Star IV, the Cousteau Diving Saucer, and the Mir I are among the topics depicted on the stamps.
