Those photographers who have known the technologically simpler SLRs know what they are missing when they use today's high-tech autofocus systems. The innovative features which load, figuratively and literally, the new cameras, benefit manufacturers more than camera buffs who can create without them.

Article Abstract:

Waller, author of 'The Bridges of Madison County,' is also a photographer. He took some black-and-white photos for his book, but his photographs are usually impressionistic and in color. Waller uses mostly intuition when taking photographs.

A photographer who is susceptible to sunstroke describes the Tilley hat which he has found perfect for his needs. The cotton hat has straps to hold it in place and a wide brim that flips up to provide room for a camera.
