On the horizon: In search of east Africa's eye-catching Maasai sunstone
Article Abstract:
Tanzania, East Africa, has one of the most abundant store of gems in the world, and hence the gem trade is highly active in Arusha located in the north central part of the country. A first-time encounter with the 'Maasai sunstone', the newest jewel in the crown, and a visit to the sunstone mining area, are narrated.
