Article Abstract:
James Kaya uses pave stone setting to balance the contemporary look of his designs and the old-fashioned look that pave rings have. Fred Schnaars meanwhile handles the pave work in the creation of his design partner Gordon Aalto's ideas. The use of pave stone setting combined with computer aided design (CAD) in Paul Klecka's jewelry is also discussed.

Jeweler Jamie Cassavoy de Gonzalez takes inspiration from his stay in Vermont, making botanically inspired designs such as flowers and leaves. Deborah Bushinski meanwhile is inspired by and uses birch bark from Minnesota in her creations. Kenneth Johnson, who is of Seminole/Muskogee heritage, combines different metals with copper in his hand-fabricated and carved pieces. Steff Korsage meanwhile uses copper as a base when making colorful and earthy enameled brooches and necklaces. The use of copper in Jennie Lorete Keatts' creations is also discussed.
