A variety of exports including 'made in occupied Japan' items poured into the US after the war in the Pacific was over. Some are now collectables. US stamps were also sold in Hong Kong. A Japanese collector of rare stamps for over 20 years, Ryohei Ishakawa also collected carp in a large swimming pool.

Hidden California gold treasure
Article Abstract:
The California Gold Rush produced many stories about people who flocked to the state in order to enrich themselves. Where the hidden gold stolen by outlaw George Skinner is, has yet to be discovered. A 1946 US postage stamp issue commemorates the California gold rush days.
