Article Abstract:

The deBolt Model Engineering Co. was the first to produce an easy-to-construct model airplane called the Live Wire Jenny which was based on the Curtiss Jenny JN-4. It required more complex manufacturing steps to allow the modeler to glue the parts together.

Early "ARFs." (model airplanes)

Article Abstract:

The Live Wire Jenny was the first quick-build model airplane series. It was followed by the LW P-Shooter and LW Acrobatt biplane series. The LW Acrobat raised several issues concerning the production of cabane struts and assembly time.

Carl Goldberg's legacy

Article Abstract:

Carl Goldberg is remembered for his enormous contributions to the art and science of model airplane building. Mr. Goldberg, who founded the Carl Goldberg Model Co., was one of the industry's pioneers during the early 1930s.
