Decorazione a Scavo, literally 'excavation decoration', is a traditional Italian technique that is used to make new pieces look like archeological finds with centuries' old dust on them. Scavo effects can be achieved in many ways, so one of the favorite formula used for obtaining scavo effects, is described in detail.
