Guernsey's 1995 postage stamp issues are colorful with an eye to attracting tourists. Among other attractions, the island has clean water and fresh air. The new stamps are described, including the welcoming stamps in which sea life, fruits and vegetables are arranged into smiling faces.

The need for collectors to have suspected stamp errors verified by experts is stressed. Discussed are errors or flaws relating to color, such as missing colors, and changes in color due to light or chemicals. Most dealers lack the knowledge to be able to confer error status on a stamp.
