Some find Tonga novelty stamps rather appealing
Article Abstract:
A history of die-cut stamps, which first appeared in Czechoslovakia in 1918 is presented. In June 1993, Tonga began an experiment and began to issue only die-cut self stick stamps. These novelty stamps were eye-catching, but expensive. Several of the stamps are described. They are no longer issued.

Collecting stamps depicting dogs is popular among dog lovers and should be done by picking the best-liked stamps. Commonly portrayed breeds include the German Shepherds, sheepdogs, poodles and Afghans. Collections should have a miscellaneous page for unlabeled dogs.

Many countries issued postage stamps with maps as ways to promote territorial claims with other countries. Stamps from countries with territorial disputes, including Canada, Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, Greece and the Dominican Republic are described.
