Minnesota jeweler Cathy Cwynar believes the stones she cuts into jewelry have their own stories to tell. The Minneapolis lapidary, who prefers to work on agates, jaspers and chrysolla-in-quartz, got her penchant for stone-cutting during the hippie days in the 1960s.
