The creations of beadwork designer Marcia Katz reflect the artistry and care put into every piece. Her favorite material is squared-off Delica-style beads. She often uses the peyote stitch technique as it gives her more freedom in her designs. One of her notable works is the Bee Bracelet.

The Mint Museum of Craft and Design in Charlotte, NC opened in Jan 10, 1999, It was built to become a national crafts resource through its permanent collections, original exhibitions and scholarship. The museum building and the renovation costs were shouldered by Bank of America.
