The story behind Poland's 'monuments sets.' (Polish postal history)
Article Abstract:
In 1915 the German occupiers opened a post office in Poland and issued stamps. The local postal committee designed more attractive stamps but the Germans refused permission for their use. These were called the 'monument set.' They were subsequently used when Poland regained freedom in 1918.

The CAS has selected its officers for 1993. Dick Malott has been named President Major, while Pat Sloan has been named Immediate Past President. Sloan was an honoree at the Aerophilately '92 exhibit in Chicago.
