The 1907 dividing line for postal cards & post cards
Article Abstract:
After 1873 one cent postal cards with messages on the address side were charged 5 cents. The rule was extended to private mailing cards in 1898. On Mar 1, 1907 the rule changed. Messages could go on a third of the address side. Finding postcard in this sequence is a challenge for collectors.

A brief review of Latvia's postal history
Article Abstract:
Latvia's postal service dates from its independence Nov. 18, 1918. In Latvia's short independence before annexation by the Soviet Union, 363 stamps were issued. The Soviets honored the country on several stamps. A brief history of Latvia is recounted.

Poland's postal service in Danzig

The history of the postal service in Gdansk, Poland is discussed. Established in 1654, the service has endured many hardships, including a battle with German S.S. Troopers in 1939.
