Article Abstract:

Tom Hanks is a glass bead maker who lost half of his left arm after a Jan. 1991 accident. Despite his handicap, Hanks has seen his bead making stint evolve from mere experimentation into a real craft. After his first show at the Bead Expo '96, Hanks plans on doing more and bigger shows in the future.

Article Abstract:

Jeweler Stephani Briggs' works that will be displayed at the 11th Annual American Craft Council Craft Fair in St. Paul, MN, in Apr. 10-13, 1997 are influenced by places she had traveled. Her wheel prayer that can be worn as a pendant was influenced by her trip to the Himalayas in India.

Adil Qazi, along with his two brothers established the bead shop, 'Creative Arts, in Kathmandu, Nepal. His bead shop became world renowned because of the quality of his products and their unique modern Tibetan design.
