The postal service of Tuvalu has changed its postage stamp policies, much to the detriment of it and surrounding islands. The issuance of specimen stamps, stamps that have no connection to the islands and announcing printing quantities will affect Tuvalu's reputation.

Foiling the philatelic fakers

The Royal Mail in Great Britain has developed a postmark ink that will not wash off in solvents. The washproof ink will prevent people from being able to reuse stamps, which is illegal.

Whitfield King - philatelic vandal!
Article Abstract:
Whitfield King used more than 44,000 mint-condition postage stamps to cover the walls of his stamp library in Ipswich, England in 1892. The stamps were permanently defaced.
