Custom developing of film and prints is still the most reliable way to process photographic materials. Custom labs are able to treat materials more carefully, adjust for color imbalances and compensate for poor exposures. They can also turn slides into negatives and negatives into slides.

Color: can you really push process color negative film? Yes, but you may not want to!

Push processing involves shooting pictures in low light while underexposing the film intentionally. The film is then overdeveloped under controlled conditions to compensate for 'tricking' it. Examples of how to push Kodak and Fujicolor color print films are provided.
