World's smallest gas 4-strokes

Article Abstract:

Experimental engineering machinist George Luhrs holds the distinction of having designed and built the world's two smallest engines. The larger of the two engines has 71 parts and a displacement of 0.015ci while the smaller engine has a 0.0075ci displacement and consists of 82 parts.

A description is presented of the design and construction of a model airplane engine which features a gas-ignition, 5-cylinder, 4-stroke specification. The modelmaking skills of George Luhrs are discussed.

How to build a radial cowl

A radial cowl may be built from scratch in a way much simpler than it seems. A radial cowl has its aesthetic value, which can definitely enhance a model aircraft's appearance.
