A little night music
Article Abstract:
A Southern States summer dusk resounds with songs of assorted creatures. The night birds chuck-will's-widow and whippoorwill sound like their names, the latter being the more untiring singer. Grasshoppers, crickets and katydids render monotonous but pleasant tunes. Humming cicadas signal the end of the day.
