A playroom to grow on

Architect Mark Montgomery and designer Day Waggenspack designed a small playroom for Linda Jane and Scott Thompson's home in Baton Rouge, LA. The playroom is adjacent to the family room and kitchen and can easily be converted into a home office or study when the children have outgrown it.

Addition benefits kitchen, too
Article Abstract:
The problem of a small house with a kitchen that had no natural ventilation was solved when a room with access to air and sunlight was built beside it. The kitchen could share the additional room's sunlight and air by opening the wall that separates the two rooms.
