A sugarhouse you can build

A sugarhouse for making small amounts of maple syrup was designed by Shelter-Kit Inc and can be made from the kit or from scratch. It is an eight foot by 12 foot structure with a gable roof and hinged vent doors. Instructions for ordering plans or the kit are given.

The sugarhouse

A sugarhouse has a variety of applications. A typical 8-by-12 ft building can hold an evaporator for boiling maple from 150 maple taps. The structure can also be used to hold small tools. Construction tips are provided.
