A thirst for color
Article Abstract:
Container gardening can provide many advantages aside from using up less garden space. Container gardens are a good way to present color and interest regardless of season. An ideal example of this type of garden by the owners of Iron Horse Vineyards in California's Sonoma Valley is presented.

After the fire
Article Abstract:
The Oakland fire killed 25 people and destroyed 3,000 homes. It also did immeasurable damage to the area's landscape and gardens that added to the area's ecological beauty. Some sections with perennial borders survived only because the wind blew in another direction.

Art influences Keeyla Meadows' garden, and gardening influences her artwork. The flowers around her house match and complement the house, which is painted a peach color. Meadows designed a copper arch in the form of a morning glory and placed it in her garden.
