Land of the tallgrasses
Article Abstract:
Tallgrasses and other wild plant varieties grow undisturbed in the Tallgrass Prairie Reserve in Oklahoma. A century ago, the prairie used to support a thriving ecology which was lost with modernization. Nature Conservancy, which manages the prairie, hopes to bring all that back.

Lily of the stream
Article Abstract:
The Cahaba River provides a habitat for dense growths of shoals lilies (Hymenocallis coronoria). These flowers are white with yellow stamens and grown on rapidly flowing water. Habitats for the lily are slowly disappearing due to deforestation and development.
