A visit to Houston Peckerwood Garden
Article Abstract:
Peckerwood Garden in Hempstead Texas, a creation of owner John Fairey, is described. The abundance and variety of woodpeckers inspired the name Fairey gave the property. Peckerwood contains over 3,000 individual plant species and cultivars, many discovered by Fairey during his botanizing expeditions to Mexico.
