Madalene Hill, a teacher, author and plantswoman and an active and influential member of the Herb Society of America is well known in the herbal, culinary and gardening worlds. Madalene discusses about her childhood, her interest in herbs during her growing years, her marriage to Jim Hill who pursued his interest in horticulture, her desire and success of an herb garden, a tornado in 1983 that destroyed everything and the establishment of several new gardens at Festival Hill.
